Salary DOE – Full-time role based in Austin, TX, with in-office presence required on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

What You Get To Do

• Lead the design and development of cloud-native applications on AWS
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver impactful new features
• Own architecture decisions and drive technical direction within the team
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable Java code, incorporating unit and integration tests
• Mentor other engineers and support their technical growth
• Drive agile development cycles and see features through from design to production
• Troubleshoot production issues and continually optimize performance
• Contribute to defining short and long-term engineering goals
  
  

What You Need To Succeed

• 6+ years of professional Java development experience, with at least 1+ year at the Staff Engineer level
• Proven expertise designing and building scalable cloud-native systems on AWS
• Strong command of software design principles, system architecture, and clean code practices
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and tools such as Maven or Gradle
• Comfortable working in an agile environment and owning deliverables independently
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills; product-mindset approach to engineering
  
  

Bonus Perks

• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB)
• Background in designing and building RESTful APIs
• Hands-on knowledge of SonarQube or similar tools is a plus
