Job summary

Tech Holding seeks a Software Engineer to build an AI-powered risk intelligence platform for US-based clients. You will own features end to end, collaborating with an US-based client team, and drive AI-assisted development from spec to production.

The role emphasizes hands-on implementation, attention to security and performance, and strong English communication. Remote contract role with overlap hours in US Eastern Time.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production applications.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding agents as a core part of your daily development workflow, not just autocomplete.
• Practical experience with spec-driven development: writing specs, plans, or structured requirements that guide AI-generated implementation.
• Strong in at least one: Backend (Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Go) with REST APIs and SQL databases; or Full stack with React.
• Strong testing discipline, including unit, integration, and test-first habits.
• Experience with Git-based workflows, code review, and CI/CD.
• Experience deploying to a cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Excellent written and spoken English, especially for specs and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into precise specs, technical plans, and task breakdowns for AI coding agents.
• Use AI coding agents to implement features, then review, test, and refine the code they produce.
• Own features end to end across backend services, APIs, and integrations, from spec through production.
• Define acceptance criteria and automated tests up front so AI-generated code matches the spec.
• Maintain project context files, coding standards, and reusable prompts and templates.
• Review AI-generated and human-written code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Improve the team’s spec-driven workflow, tooling, and CI/CD practices; join daily standups with the US-based client team.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Software Engineer in Mexico to help build an AI-powered risk intelligence platform. The platform helps enterprises detect and respond to emerging online threats. The team builds software with a spec-driven, AI-assisted workflow: engineers write clear specifications, plans, and acceptance criteria, then direct AI coding agents to implement, test, and refine the code. This is a hands‑on individual‑contributor role. You’ll own features end to end and help the team improve how it ships with AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate product requirements into precise specs, technical plans, and task breakdowns that AI coding agents can carry out reliably
• Use AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Kiro) to implement features, then review, test, and refine the code they produce
• Own features end to end across backend services, APIs, and integrations, from spec through to production
• Define acceptance criteria and automated tests up front so AI-generated code is checked against the spec
• Maintain project context files, coding standards, and reusable prompts and templates that keep agent output consistent
• Review AI-generated and human-written code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability
• Improve the team’s spec-driven workflow, tooling, and CI/CD practices, and share what worksJoin daily standups and technical discussions with the US-based client team

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production applications
• Hands‑on experience using AI coding agents as a core part of your daily development workflow, not just autocomplete
• Practical experience with spec-driven development: writing specs, plans, or structured requirements that guide AI-generated implementation (e.g., GitHub Spec Kit, Kiro, or a similar approach of your own)
• Strong in at least one of:
• Backend: Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Go, plus REST APIs and SQL databases
• Full stack: the above plus React or a similar modern frontend framework
• Strong testing discipline, including unit, integration, and test-first habits that validate AI-generated code
• Experience with Git-based workflows, code review, and CI/CD
• Experience deploying to a cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Excellent written and spoken English, especially strong written communication for specs and documentation

Nice to have:

• Experience building LLM-powered product features, such as RAG, agents, or tool calling
• Experience setting up AI development tooling for a team, such as MCP servers, agent rules files, or shared prompt libraries
• Experience with data-heavy or SaaS platforms, especially in security, threat intelligence, or trust and safety
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
• Previous experience working with US-based clients or distributed teams
