Job summary

Rain seeks a seasoned Solana and Rust engineer in New York to design, build, and maintain Solana programs and backend services that interface with EVM and Stellar. You will scale on‑chain infrastructure to handle millions of users and drive real‑time processing across multiple chains.

The role covers end‑to‑end ownership, shaping the technical roadmap, and shipping capabilities quickly for customers. Remote/hybrid options are available with US flexibility.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in the Solana ecosystem, programming model and tooling.
• Strong proficiency in Rust.
• Solid understanding of security patterns in smart contracts.
• Experience with Node.js and backend systems.
• 2–10+ years of engineering experience; compensation will be calibrated accordingly.

About The Role

You’ll design, build, and maintain Solana programs and the backend services that integrate with them, while contributing to shared infrastructure across EVM, Solana, and Stellar. Our platform powers crypto-backed card products — processing high transaction volumes, continuously ingesting on-chain data, and navigating the unique complexity of each chain, with scalability and reliability engineered in from day one.

What We’re Looking For

• Deep expertise in the Solana ecosystem, including its programming model, tooling, and best practices
• Strong proficiency in Rust
• Solid understanding of smart contract security patterns and common vulnerability classes
• Experience with Node.js and backend systems
• 2–10+ years of engineering experience; compensation will be calibrated accordingly

Compensation Range: $170K - $240K
