The US base salary range for this full-time position is $93,750-$206,250, plus bonus and other benefits. Compensation depends on location, skills, experience, and education. In addition to salary, BNSF offers a comprehensive benefits package.

We seek a motivated and detail-oriented Infrastructure Engineer to support deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud systems.

This role involves working with senior engineers and IT staff to ensure systems are reliable, secure, and scalable. It is ideal for someone with foundational knowledge in system administration, networking, or cloud platforms eager to grow in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining servers and container platforms.
• Support networking components like switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain documentation of systems and procedures.
• Participate in patch management and system updates.
• Support user tickets related to infrastructure and access.
• Collaborate on infrastructure improvements.
• Learn and support cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Support backup and disaster recovery efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

• Authorized to work in the US.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components.
• Knowledge of IT security principles.
• Understanding of virtualization and automation.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls.
• Basics of system administration, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Fluent in scripting languages like Shell, PowerShell, Python, or Go.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus is a bonus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Willing to commit long-term to BNSF without future immigration support needs.
• Experience with open-source libraries, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
