Job summary

Defense Unicorns seeks a software engineer to assess, harden, test, and modernize a government-provided SDN baseline, working directly with source code, build systems, dependencies, runtime behavior, and test suites.

Candidates will diagnose issues across application, Linux, and network boundaries; own the SDN codebase assessment, design secure changes, and partner on container readiness, CI/CD, deployment workflows, and automated security scanning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with C++, Python, and Bash.
• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, DNS).
• Active US Government SECRET clearance or higher.
