EARTHBRAIN is expanding its North American engineering team and seeks experienced software engineers to tackle advanced 3D and geospatial challenges. You will build production-grade software that visualizes CAD data, imagery, point clouds, and terrain, enabling contractors to plan complex projects with centimeter-level precision.
You’ll work across the stack, collaborate with international teams, and contribute to AI-enabled development practices while shaping the engineering culture in North
Build software that changes how the physical world gets built.
At EARTHBRAIN, we're building technology that transforms construction jobsites into intelligent, connected environments.
Born from Komatsu—one of the world's largest construction equipment manufacturers—and backed by Komatsu, NTT, Sony, and Nomura Research Institute, EARTHBRAIN combines the speed and ownership of a technology company with the resources and global reach of established industry leaders.
Our Smart Construction platform is already deployed across more than 15,000 jobsites in Japan and used in more than 27 countries.
Now we're expanding our North American engineering team—and we're looking for experienced software engineers who want to work on technical problems that go far beyond the typical web application.
You'll help build 3D products that allow contractors to combine CAD files, aerial and satellite imagery, drone-captured point clouds, terrain data, and other project information to visualize, analyze, and plan complex construction projects.
Think centimeter-level terrain precision, massive geospatial datasets, earthwork calculations, digital twins, and interactive 3D environments.
And that's only where we're starting.
Our longer-term roadmap includes remote and autonomous construction, with cloud systems coordinating fleets of heavy machinery across jobsites.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who wants meaningful technical ownership.
You'll write and ship production code every day, work across the stack, solve challenging 3D and geospatial problems, and see your work used in real-world construction environments.
You'll also join an engineering organization actively redefining how software gets built with AI.
We believe great engineers don't compete with AI—they learn how to direct it.
Every engineer has access to modern AI development tools, including Claude Code, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, and Gemini. AI agents contribute meaningfully to first-draft code and testing, while engineers remain responsible for architecture, technical judgment, review, quality, and what ultimately ships.
Our interview process reflects how we actually work: our technical interview is AI-assisted, and you're encouraged to use the tools you use in your real development workflow.
You don't need to be an expert in every technology below. We're more interested in strong engineers who can learn quickly and make sound technical decisions.

Jasmine · Karma · Vitest · Playwright · GoogleTest

You may be a strong fit if you have:
If you're a strong software engineer who is excited about 3D technology, geospatial systems, AI-assisted development, or building software that interacts with the physical world, we still want to hear from you.
Beyond the opportunity to work on technically challenging products with global reach, EARTHBRAIN offers:
A lot of software moves information around a screen.
Ours helps move earth, coordinate equipment, model entire jobsites, and ultimately change how construction gets done.
If you want your next engineering challenge to combine 3D visualization, geospatial technology, cloud systems, AI-assisted development, and real-world impact, we'd like to meet you.
