General Motors is seeking an experienced engineer to lead release management and quality strategy for our Simulation Scalability team. You will define and drive simulation‑wide quality, automate validation, and strengthen verification workflows across multiple teams.

About the Team The Simulation Scalability team builds the core systems, frameworks, and workflows that ensure simulation runs reliably, efficiently, and at scale. We work across all simulation products and pipelines, addressing systemic issues, improving release quality, and strengthening the foundations that enable teams to iterate quickly and confidently. Our work spans systems architecture, software engineering, release management, and quality strategy, with a mission to increase reliability, throughput, and operational excellence across the entire simulation ecosystem.
We’re looking for engineers with depth in at least one of the following areas, and interest in growing across the rest:

Strong programming skills in Python or C++. Experience designing, building, or supporting production‑grade systems. Ability to operate in ambiguous problem spaces and drive clarity across teams. Strong problem‑solving skills in reliability, quality, or systems design.
You will shape the quality, reliability, and scalability of the entire simulation ecosystem. You’ll work on high‑impact systems with organization‑wide visibility. You’ll influence how simulation releases are validated, shipped, and scaled for the future.
The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington. The salary range for this role is $153,200 to $234,100. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
