Job summary

Google Inc. in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Software Engineer for Sensors, Platforms and Devices to design and implement signal processing and embedded software across health wearables and related hardware.

You will work on DSP algorithms, real-time data processing, and ML-ready pipelines, collaborate with hardware teams, and mentor junior engineers while delivering robust firmware and software for SOCs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in Python.
• 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
• Experience in digital signal processing (DSP) algorithm development, implementation, and optimization.
• Experience in analyzing large-scale datasets using database queries and scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, or R).

Responsibilities

• Develop signal processing algorithms or firmware for health sensors.
• Enhance signal processing and ML algorithms to filter noise and ensure accurate processing.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering to integrate firmware and algorithms with hardware.
• Design, develop, implement, and test software components for real-time signal processing and data processing.

• Develop signal processing algorithms or firmware for health sensors.
• Enhance signal processing and ML algorithms in order to filter noise and ensure accurate, efficient processing of data.
  
• Collaborate with hardware engineering to ensure that firmware and algorithms are seamlessly integrated with the hardware architecture.
