Job summary

NetJets is seeking a software engineer to drive innovation in software and data solutions for private aviation operations and customer experience. The role offers ownership of design and development across applications and services, with emphasis on reliability, security, and scalable architectures.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years of experience, a computer science or engineering background, and strong AWS/datas solutions knowledge, plus collaboration and Agile skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent engineering field.
• Previous work experience designing new system integrations is required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience and knowledge of AWS cloud-native engineering (DynamoDB, Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway), SQS, Kafka, Event Driven Architecture.
• Experience in web or mobile development or software projects during education is preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies is a plus.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, maintain, and support software applications, services, and systems, ensuring they deliver business value and are fully prepared for operational use.
• Ensure application resiliency, stability, security, and data protection by implementing robust engineering practices, proactive monitoring, and adherence to organizational and industry standards.
• Provide technical leadership for engineering teams and contribute to the definition, design, development, integration, test and documentation of the product and its features in alignment with established technology and architectural standards.
• Collaborate with the people on your team, in your functional area, and with your business stakeholders to ensure business value is achieved.
• Demonstrate leadership and accountability by taking ownership of commitments, delivering results with integrity, and ensuring outcomes meet agreed‑upon goals.
• Operate within an agile team to deliver outcomes iteratively while fostering empiricism, learning, and continuous improvement in delivery practices.
