Global Payments, a leader in payments technology, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Express team. In this role you will design and implement features, mentor teammates, and help shape scalable cloud-based services.

This hybrid position requires strong architecture experience, hands-on Kafka, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and API development in .NET 6+, with Azure and AWS involvement. Hybrid work schedule: three days per week in Alpharetta, Cincinnati, or Denver offices; visa sponsorship

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience delivering software solutions.
• 4+ years of experience in system architecture and design for scalable enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, understanding business drivers, and staying current with emerging technology and computing trends.
• Proven experience deploying and managing distributed applications and services on cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies and best practices.
• Experience designing and developing cloud-based solutions on Azure and AWS, including microservices architecture and API development using .NET 6+.
• Expertise in developing cloud strategies aligned with business objectives, leveraging Azure and hybrid cloud environments, and managing containerized workloads using Kubernetes and OpenShift to ensure scalability, resilience, security, and high availability.

Responsabilités

• Lead technical designs of new features and services, including investigations, code analysis, and delivering high-quality features.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Agile Release Train members, Architects, and DevOps from across Worldpay to select the best solutions.
• Assist with investigation of live system issues and propose root-cause solutions.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Assess impacts of architectural direction on security, availability, performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Interact with product managers and users to define system requirements and necessary modifications.
