Qualifications

2+ years of proven industry software engineering with at least 1 year in AI/ML focused development.
Proven ability architecting and delivering enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions from concept to production.
Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn.
Deep knowledge of LLM-based systems, Agentic AI frameworks, RAG architectures, and vector databases.
Practical experience developing AI agents or copilots that interface with tools or external APIs.
Solid understanding of agentic design patterns and strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, and API design.

Responsibilities

Design and implement AI/ML and Agentic AI solutions in design and verification tools, establishing architecture patterns and best practices for enterprise-scale deployments
Build scalable AI platforms leveraging LLMs, Agentic Frameworks, MCP, LangGraph, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) technologies
Develop intelligent agents capable of tool usage, workflow automation, reasoning, planning, and autonomous task execution
Evaluate and select AI technologies, models, frameworks, and infrastructure to meet product and business objectives
Architect end-to-end AI systems including data pipelines, model serving, observability, memory management, and deployment strategies
Collaborate with engineering leaders, product management, and domain experts to transform ideas into production-grade solutions

Position Overview

Join the QuestaSim (Simulation) R&D team at Siemens EDA as a Senior Software Engineer and drive innovation in simulation technology. In this role, you'll architect and develop cutting‑edge algorithms and software solutions that power industry‑leading simulation tools. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll solve complex technical challenges in a fast‑paced environment, taking ownership of strategic initiatives from conception through delivery. Your technical expertise, problem‑solving acumen, and leadership will directly shape the future of electronic design automation.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement AI/ML and Agentic AI solutions in design and verification tools, establishing architecture patterns and best practices for enterprise‑scale deployments

Qualifications

Required:

Demonstrated expertise architecting and delivering enterprise‑scale AI/ML solutions from concept to production
Strong proficiency in Python and hands‑on experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit‑learn
Deep knowledge of LLM‑based systems, Agentic AI frameworks, RAG architectures, and vector databases
Practical experience developing AI agents or copilots that interface with tools or external APIs
Solid understanding of agentic design patterns and strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, and API design

Preferred:

Experience with code understanding systems, AST analysis, or developer productivity tools
Proficiency in C/C++
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD practices
Background in Digital Design, SystemVerilog, or EDA tools
Knowledge of compilers, parallelism, or GPU profiling tools

This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The pay range for this position is 90,000 - 162,000 annually with a target incentive of 3-5 of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
