Job summary

Amazon's AWS Security Communications (SecComms) team is hiring a Software Development Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable software that powers security communications workflows across AWS.

You will collaborate with security engineers, program managers, and communications professionals to deliver reliable, maintainable tooling for incident response, vulnerability management, and security programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, or scaling).
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded or distributed software.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver software features spanning the full lifecycle for major portions of the SecComms platform.
• Work with customers and stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into maintainable solutions.
• Balance feature work with technical debt and reliability to ensure sustainable designs.
• Mentor engineers and uphold coding standards, documentation, and testing.
