Loft Federal seeks a senior cybersecurity engineer to embed security into space and ground-system development. You will design secure architectures, implement RMF-aligned controls, and drive vulnerability assessment with engineering teams.

The role demands TS clearance, 5+ years in secure software engineering, and hands-on C++/Python. Onsite work 3 days weekly with up to 10% travel, offering strong compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualificações

• Active TS clearance or eligibility (TS/SCI preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• One IAT Level III certification: CISSP, SecurityX (CASP+), CCNP, or CCSP.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a security focus (security engineering).
• Hands-on experience with C++ and Python.
• Experience implementing DoD RMF and NIST SP 800-53 controls.
• Experience building RMF artifacts and supporting ATO efforts.
• Working knowledge of system hardening and vulnerability management.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Must be able to work onsite 3 days per week, travel up to 10%.

What You'll Do

• Lead security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments.

• Work with government customers, ISSMs, and program teams to keep systems compliant and mission ready.

Must Haves

• Active Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI eligibility preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• One IAT Level III certification: CISSP, SecurityX (CASP+), CCNP, or CCSP
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a security focus, such as systems security engineering or cybersecurity engineering
• Hands-on experience with C++ and Python
• Experience implementing DoD RMF and NIST SP 800-53 controls
• Experience building RMF artifacts and supporting ATO efforts
• Working knowledge of system hardening and vulnerability management
• Solid grasp of secure system architecture
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Must be able to work onsite 3 days per week, and travel up to 10%

• Experience on DoD, Intelligence Community, or national security space programs
• Windows and Linux administration
• Cloud security, Kubernetes, containers, or DevSecOps
• ACAS, Nessus, DISA STIGs, or similar assessment tools
