Job summary

One Federal Solution is seeking Application Software Developers/Engineers at senior, intermediate, and junior levels to support USDA NAL data applications. The role focuses on O&M and development for GeoData, Ag Data Commons, and related scientific data products, in Linux/open-source environments.

The ideal candidate will design microservices, implement RESTful APIs, participate in Agile teams, and ensure WCAG 2.x AA accessibility across production systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• 5+ years of professional experience developing customized applications.
• Experience with XML, JavaScript (Angular preferred), JSON, HTML5, OpenLayers, Groovy, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, Linux CLI, Drupal, Python, RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Provide O&M support for NAL scientific data applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain microservices for data ingest, processing, and egress.
• Develop architecture docs, API specs, diagrams, and data models.
• Support app enhancements, testing, deployment, and production releases.
• Configure SaaS environments and perform data migrations.
• Create dashboards and analytics for repository usage.
• Design RESTful APIs for internal/external integrations.
• Develop QA, automated/UI testing, and ETL processes.
• Ensure accessibility per 508 and WCAG 2.x AA.
• Collaborate with federal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
