Job summary

Nightwing seeks a Software Engineer to design and develop scalable software for mission-critical operations, leveraging ML/AI analytics and distributed architectures. You will optimize performance for microservices and containerized environments while collaborating across teams to deliver real-time data-driven solutions.

Strong C++/Python skills, Linux workflows, and knowledge of DevSecOps are required. This onsite role is based in Maryland and requires U.S.

Qualifications

• A STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) as minimum
• Proven expertise in scalable distributed systems development and containerized environments (Kubernetes, Helm, Podman)
• Proficiency in C++ and Python with Linux-based development workflows
• Strong data structures and algorithm design foundations
• Familiarity with secure DevSecOps workflows, CI/CD automation, and Git
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; TS/SCI with Polygraph and U.S. citizenship required
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable software systems to support mission-critical operations.
• Incorporate ML models and AI-driven analytics for signal processing and network analysis.
• Optimize performance for distributed computing, microservices and containers.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate real-time data-driven solutions.
• Work on large-scale data pipelines, messaging systems, and adaptive algorithms.
• Contribute to code reviews and improve system security and performance.
