Job summary

enGen is seeking a software engineer to design and implement scalable applications within an agile team. You will write high-quality code, participate in Scrum ceremonies, review peers, and help drive technical decisions that ensure performance and reliability.

Required: BS in Computer Science or related field, 3 years of experience designing algorithms, data structures, and modern languages; preference for IBM Cognos, data warehousing, and healthcare domain knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field required.
• Experience with design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and scalable systems.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.) and familiarity with REST/JSON.

Responsibilities

• Design and create engineering specifications for software applications.
• Write code adhering to standards and perform code reviews.
• Develop technical solutions to enable product features with scalable performance.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and assist in sprint planning.
• Drive story creation with DoD, acceptance criteria, and task updates.
• Monitor progress and report issues to lead developers.
• Mentor junior engineers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
