Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong Java backend engineering experience with REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS-hosted SaaS and platform components.
• Experience with Docker, Linux environments, CI/CD, and release workflows.
• Understanding of secure cloud-to-on-prem connectivity, TLS/certificates, proxies, firewalls, DNS, outbound connectivity, and operational diagnostics.
• Ability to work across backend, cloud, on-prem, QA, SRE, DevOps, and product boundaries with strong ownership and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Java backend services, REST APIs, cloud integrations, and distributed platform components.
• Contribute to a Java-based on-prem appliance delivered as a JAR and packaged through Docker for RHEL‑like Linux environments.
• Build secure communication patterns between customer‑managed environments and AWS‑hosted SaaS services.
• Support data models, caching strategies, API contracts, authentication flows, configuration models, observability, and deployment workflows.
• Flex into client‑facing or full stack work when needed, including workflow integration, real‑time behavior, UI/API interaction, or application stability improvements.
