Q2 is a leading provider of digital banking and lending solutions in the U.S. The Risk & Fraud team builds production systems to detect and prevent fraud, spanning data pipelines, services, APIs, and data infrastructure.

You will own end-to-end delivery, collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers, and ensure strict security and reliability. The role emphasizes autonomy, strong engineering fundamentals, and impactful fraud analytics in a dynamic fintech environment buildup

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in Python, well-tested and scalable code
• Proficiency in SQL and relational/analytical data stores
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Vue.js or similar
• Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience building cloud-native, service-oriented architectures

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test software with high availability and resiliency
• Build and operate scalable data workflows and data pipelines for fraud analytics
• Work across the stack from data layers to APIs to frontend integrations
• Own systems end-to-end: delivery, monitoring, and incident response
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to translate requirements into scalable solutions
• Ensure security, confidentiality and privacy controls are followed
• Mentor teammates and evangelize best practices
