Zions Bancorporation's Enterprise Technology and Operations (ETO) team is seeking a visionary Software Engineer to lead QA Services. You will architect and modernize test automation, build scalable frameworks, and champion quality across the organization, including responsible AI usage.

Based in Utah with a hybrid schedule, you will mentor engineers, drive enterprise standards, and design strategies for end-to-end automation across platforms, services, and pipelines within a dynamic banking tech

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on programming and test automation experience.
• Strong performance testing and automation framework experience.
• Proficiency with Java, C#, or Python.
• Experience with REST/SOAP services and SQL databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and automation strategies.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE/IS or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a visionary experienced Software Engineer to join our QA Services team. This isn't just a testing role; it's a leadership opportunity. Responsibilities

• Architect & Innovate:Design, build, and maintain scalable and robust automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Code for Quality:Write clean, efficient code and scripts to automate everything from unit and functional tests to large-scale performance tests.
• Lead & Influence:Act as a champion for quality and automation. You will mentor other engineers, participate in improving enterprise-wide standards, and drive their adoption across partner teams.
• Ensure Excellence:Conduct code reviews, ensure compliance with engineering standards, and meticulously report, track, and resolve issues throughout the development lifecycle.
• Drive Strategy:Go beyond execution to plan and design the most effective automated testing solutions for all areas of your responsibility, leveraging BDD and TDD practices.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in performance testing tools like Blazemeter, JMeter, or LoadRunner.
• Expertise with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Appium.
• Proficiency in modern languages like Java, C#, or Python.
• 4+ years of deep, hands-on experience in programming, automation development, and creating test automation frameworks.
• Deep understanding of REST and SOAP services.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Solid experience with CI/CD principles and automation strategies.
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and testing skills, with a passion for building reliable, high-quality software.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
• A strong work ethic, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize effectively.

Location

This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.

The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus is the company's primary technology and operations center.
