About The Role

Arkatechture is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Arkalytics Services team. This remote position focuses on supporting data warehousing and business intelligence initiatives through designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter passionate about data and emerging technologies, able to collaborate closely with business and technology teams, and capable of leading projects or teams as needed.

Responsibilities

• Elicit requirements and translate them into technical work
• Develop, test, and review code following secure software development life cycle practices
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and technical leads to implement best-in-class technologies
• Automate deployment and system monitoring tools to ensure business process reliability
• Lead data discovery and file requirements gathering processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve development, test, and production environment issues
• Provide production support, progressing from Tier 2 to Tier 3 responsibilities for nightly batch cycles
• Develop and enforce best practices for the engineering team
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Identify risks and issues, escalating them appropriately
• Estimate tasks and coordinate with project management on allocation
• Participate in agile scrum teams, mentoring junior engineers
• Document processes and assist in defining acceptance criteria and definitions of done
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3 years in a similar software engineering role; team lead experience preferred
• Technical certification in AWS or Snowflake (Solutions Architect Associate or higher)
• Strong Python programming skills; familiarity with C#, JavaScript, Go is a plus
• Experience with Docker, ECS, Fargate, Kubernetes, microservices, and message queues
• Solid Linux/Unix system knowledge
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Bitbucket Pipelines
• Proficient with at least one relational database (Snowflake, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2)
• Experience working with REST APIs, SDKs, CLI tools, and multi-format files (JSON, XML, CSV)
• Familiarity with software engineering/testing principles and agile tools (Git, Jira, Confluence, Slack)
• Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB
• AWS Developer Associate or Solutions Architect certification required; advanced AWS or Snowflake certifications preferred
