The security engineering team is missioned to build security services, platforms and technologies, as well as to support cross‑functional teams to protect our users, products and infrastructures. In this team you'll have a unique opportunity to have first‑hand exposure to the strategy of the company in key security initiatives, especially in building scalable and secure‑by‑design systems and solutions. You also have opportunities to go through the whole lifecycle of security products or services, are encouraged to participate in each phase, each part of the projects and have the whole picture of what we are working on.
As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short‑term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real‑world experience. You will gain practical skills through on‑the‑job learning in a fast‑paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests. The Project Intern will work on Security Data products across two core areas:
Minimum Qualifications
Undergraduate or postgraduate currently pursuing a degree/master in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or other STEM disciplines.
Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as Go, Java, Python, C++ or similar.
Proven experience writing comprehensive automated tests, performing effective code reviews, and debugging issues to ensure high standards of code quality and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building and optimizing high‑throughput, high‑availability systems, with a strong understanding of performance tuning and scalability trade‑offs.
Practical knowledge of backend security principles and best practices, including authentication, authorization, least privilege access, and secure service‑to‑service.
The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $45 - $60.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day‑one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for a housing allowance.
