We believe that multimodality is critical for intelligence. To go beyond language models and build more aware, capable and useful systems, the next step function change will come from vision. So, we are working on training and scaling up multimodal foundation models for systems that can see and understand, show and explain, and eventually interact with our world to effect change.

We are looking for a full-stack software engineer to focus on building and maintaining core API features within the Dream Machine app.

You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, researchers, and fellow engineers to translate cutting-edge research into scalable, impactful products.

As we explore new frontiers in video enabled AI and other modalities, you will help define our product strategy and build the foundations for these projects. We value engineers who take initiative, demonstrate strong product instincts and maintain a user-centric focus in their work.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with design and front-end teams to design, build, and iterate on innovative AI product features.

• Translate user needs and research insights into scalable back-end product solutions.

• Work with researchers to integrate advanced video capabilities into our core offerings.

• Shape the technical roadmap and product strategy for our video initiatives.

• Foster an inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives and challenges conventional thinking.

Experience

• Have 8+ years of industry experience in product engineering, with a proven record of shipping impactful, user-focused products.

• Experience with Typescript for front-end development, and proficiency in Python/Golang language, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn across the stack.

• Has prior experience working in startup environments, either as a founder or an early-stage engineer.

• Has prior work experience working with user facing API’s.

• Excel in environments with ambiguity and rapid change, turning complex requirements into practical, elegant solutions.

• Possess a proactive mindset with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and share your insights with your team.

• Bonus: Have experience building or supporting video infrastructure, which will be valuable as our product scales.
