Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Beavercreek Ohio, is seeking Full Stack Software Engineers. Successful candidates will demonstrate a broad skill set balanced between interpersonal and technical capabilities, achieving sustainable quality products. They will have a track record as effective communicators and problem solvers who can develop and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders. Candidates will participate in the entire software development lifecycle, focusing on software engineering, implementing solutions in web-based environments, and integrating them into a microservice cloud architecture. They will work closely with other developers to accomplish the following:

  • Support team in completing software on schedule
  • Complete work independently and as part of an Agile team
  • Solve complex problems with innovative solutions
  • Collaborate in planning, design, development, and utilization of software systems
  • Regularly demonstrate progress to customers

This requisition may be filled as a Software Engineer or Principal Software Engineer based on qualifications.

Basic Qualifications for a Software Engineer:

  • One of the following:
    • A high school diploma with 6+ years of software development experience
    • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience
    • Master’s degree with 0+ years of experience
  • Full stack web development experience
  • Knowledge of Agile development processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and analyze complex problems
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Software Engineer:

  • One of the following:
    • High school diploma with 9+ years of experience
    • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years
    • Master’s degree with 3+ years
    • PhD with 4+ years
  • Full stack web development experience
  • Knowledge of Agile processes
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and analyze complex problems
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with front-end frameworks (Vue, React, Angular)
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (Graph, Document)
  • Experience with back-end frameworks (Spring, NodeJS, Django)
  • Experience with microservices, swagger, API definitions
  • Experience with geospatial mapping, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and related tools
  • DevOps/DevSecOps experience, CI/CD, security tools (Claire, Trivy, SonarQube)
  • Experience with Linux, cloud certifications

Salary range: $81,300 - $121,900 or $100,300 - $150,500 depending on qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, life/disability insurance, savings plans, paid holidays, and PTO. The application period is approximately 20 days from posting.
