Who we are?

We are the Prime Video Live Events team, revolutionize the way our customers search, discover and enjoy live events from sports, to music, to breaking news and political debates. Since September 2018, we launched our first full-scale live streaming experience to all of our worldwide Prime customers with NFL’s Thursday Night Football. In just a year, we delivered a multi-game viewing experience to our Prime Video customers in the UK for the English Premier League. We are expanding and looking for engineers to build innovative solutions for customers to discover engaging and personalized live content. This is a transformative opportunity to be at the forefront of a program that will revolutionize Prime Video and the live streaming experience globally. Our team builds a variety of services from low-latency, high-TPS systems managing live event lifecycle to engaging customers on Prime Video content offline and via social media platforms. What will you do?

We seek smart, motivated Software Development Engineers to help build personalized discovery experiences for thousands of live streaming events worldwide using technologies like machine learning. If you have experience creating large-scale, high-performance, customer-centric products and designing distributed systems to handle large datasets and complex problems at Amazon scale, this role is for you. You will leverage AWS cloud technologies including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and CloudFront to support billions of requests from millions of Prime Video users. Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, scaling)
• Experience programming in at least one software language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
