The role focuses on embedded controls for precision mining, leveraging C++, Linux, ROS, OpenCV, and AWS to design, develop, and validate software within a global engineering team. Strong collaboration and Agile practices are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field required, 2–4 years relevant exp.
Master's degree with 1–2 years industry exp considered.

Responsibilities

Develop precision mining features using embedded C++, Linux, and GitHub.
Resolve issues via triage and troubleshooting.
Work within an Agile Sprint environment.
Develop validation plans.
Coordinate with global teams for integration and testing.
Collaborate in a culturally diverse group.
Perform systems requirements decomposition, design, development, reviews, integration, and testing.
Participate in design reviews and daily stand-ups in a 12–14 person global team.

Position Overview

This position supports a Precision Mining engineering group focused on embedded electronic controls for precision mining applications utilizing hyperspectral analysis. The Software Engineer will work as part of an engineering team to design, develop, integrate, and test software features for these systems, collaborating with a global team of machine, systems, software, and validation engineers to deliver high-quality precision mining technology solutions on time and within budget.
