Job summary

Siemens EDA is seeking highly skilled software engineers to design, develop, and implement complex software for EDA products. You will focus on ensuring high quality, on-time delivery, and be a technical lead on projects.

Proficiency in C/C++, advanced data structures, and multi-threading is required, along with strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset. Experience with ECAD tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Complex algorithms, multi-threading, and data structures required.
• (Additional) OO architecture experience is needed.
• Debugging a complex software stack with Visual Studio and GDB is expected.
• Familiarity with Subversion and AntHillPro is required.
• Experience and understanding of advanced features of C++ and OO design is essential.
• Team-oriented and committed to code quality and testability.
• Some ECAD experience is helpful.
• An advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 3–5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, modify, and implement software programming for products with focus on surpassing customer expectations, on achieving high quality and on-time delivery. Responsible for ensuring the overall functional quality of released product areas. Ability to understand complex products, solutions, and problems. Creates, documents, and executes software designs which may involve complicated workflows or multiple product areas. Technical lead of one or more projects within a product. Provides input to the technical direction of product areas. Able to solve complex technical problems. Must have a very strong background in mathematics, can apply mathematical solutions in problem solving, and work with existing mathematical solutions in our C/C++ code. Ability to work with minimal supervision on complex projects with wide latitude for independent judgment.

Ensure that code adheres to defined standards and best practices for performance, speed, scalability, and quality - Practice Agile development methods and exemplify core Agile values of transparency, collaboration, acceptance of change, and iterative development.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience with complex algorithms, multi-threading, and advanced data structures
• Familiarity with Object oriented software architecture
• Working experience in debugging a complex software stack in tools like Visual Studio / GDB
• Familiarity with build and installation tools like Subversion and AntHIllPro
• Experience and understanding of advanced features of C++ and object oriented design
• A collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a team setup
• Commitment to code quality and testability
• Some experience with ECAD systems would be helpful
• Advanced degree (MS, Phd) or foreign academic equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related and 3-5 years of progressive experience in a related occupation.

The pay range for this position is $109,800 - $197,700 annually with a target incentive of 5-8% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
