Job summary

Siemens EDA is seeking a senior Field Application Engineer 5 to lead strategic customer engagements and champion technical excellence across multi‑platform solutions.

You will drive large‑scale evaluations, partner with Sales, Product and R&D, and mentor Field Application Engineers while guiding deployments and adoption to deliver measurable business impact. This is a high‑impact, customer‑facing leadership role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with 8+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor or electronic design flows and methodologies; advanced experience with EDA tools.
• Experience scripting or automating workflows using APIs, configuration tools, or custom scripts.
• Demonstrated ability to position and communicate the value of multi tool, multi platform solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
• Proven success collaborating across sales, product, and technical teams in a customer facing role.
• Experience leading large scale evaluations or enterprise level customer deployments.
• Strong knowledge of competitive EDA technologies and industry trends.
• Prior mentoring or technical leadership experience within a field or customer facing team.

• Provide input on portfolio strategy, licensing approach, and competitive positioning.

The salary range for this position is $167,200 to $334,400 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
