Software Engineer - Performance & Resilience

Join Okta, the World’s Identity Company, and be part of a team that's building a world where Identity belongs to you. As a Quality Engineer in the Performance and Resilience group, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of scaling, load, and resiliency.

This position requires a passion for quality, a proactive mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a systematic approach to troubleshooting. You will design and implement frameworks, infrastructure, and automation to protect and optimize critical system resources. You will also create and maintain non-functional tests, critical to Okta’s mission of Performance, Scale, and Resiliency. Additionally, you'll develop backend frameworks and tools for the entire engineering organization to use at scale, and monitor, debug, extend, and enhance services and frameworks the team owns.

Nice to have:
  • Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, and public cloud technologies/infrastructure (AWS, Azure, SQL, NoSQL, Redis)
  • Knowledge of non-functional testing, specifically Performance, Load, and Chaos testing
  • Experience using and integrating non-functional testing tools such as artillery, steadybit
  • Experience in the identity and access management (IAM) domain
  • Knowledge of security engineering and application security
  • Experience working with a fully distributed, remote team
