Ladders is seeking a Software Engineer, Payments to join a leader in the Business Services space. The role focuses on building backend services and APIs that support payments workflows, translating product and regulatory requirements into reliable code, and improving conversion and reliability.

Location: Remote. Compensation: $162,000 – $186,000 annually. You will work with cross-functional teams, contribute to experimentation, and help drive scalable, data-driven improvements in service quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend services.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Python or Go for backend development.
• Experience building and operating services and APIs with relational databases and SQL.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

This role will focus on building and improving backend services and APIs that support core payments-related workflows.
