Job summary

Novarad in Provo, Utah, is seeking a Software Engineer for the PACS team to build world-class medical imaging software. You will design, implement, and maintain features across desktop (WPF/WinForms) and web components, write tests, and participate in collaborative Agile development to deliver high-quality software.

You will work with PostgreSQL databases, RESTful APIs, and modern .NET tooling, while ensuring secure, scalable solutions and active documentation.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET (Framework or Core).
  • Experience developing and maintaining desktop applications using WPF and/or WinForms.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or comparable relational database.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design and consumption.
  • Proficiency with Git or comparable version control system.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices including design patterns and testing.
  • Awareness of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy requirements.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain features across Novarad's PACS desktop application (WPF, WinForms) and its web-facing components.
  • Write clean, well-tested C# code against .NET frameworks with an eye toward scalability and long-term maintainability.
  • Collaborate with your Tech Lead and teammates in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver features on time and to a high standard of quality.
  • Participate in code and design reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Build and maintain unit tests following established patterns and practices.
  • Engage with product managers and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet business and clinical requirements.
  • Contribute to documentation and actively maintain the team knowledge base.
  • Identify and escalated technical risks or blockers proactively.
  • Participate in company and technical training to continue growing as an engineer.
