Software Engineer - Packaging - Optimize Ubuntu Server

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate proactively within a distributed team.
2. Foster a seamless software ecosystem for all Ubuntu users.
3. Evaluate contributions from other engineers to maintain high-quality standards.
4. Contribute to shaping the future of Ubuntu with new ideas and advice.
5. Collaborate with the Ubuntu and Debian communities, upstream projects, and customers.
6. Debug issues in open source and team-maintained code.
7. Maintain Ubuntu Server packages, including web servers, databases, network services, virtualization, containerization, package management, dependencies, language runtimes, and toolchains.
8. Work remotely with occasional travel for events.

Qualifications
