Job summary

Keysight Technologies is looking for a Software Engineer – Oscilloscope Applications in Colorado Springs. You will be part of a team developing software for advanced test instruments, with ownership over the full software stack.

Ideal candidates will have 5–10 years of software development experience and a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with hands-on embedded systems experience and proficiency in object-oriented programming.

Software Engineer – Oscilloscope Applications

Join a team building software at the heart of the most advanced test and measurement instruments in the world. We develop applications for industry‑leading real‑time, high‑performance oscilloscopes — tools used by engineers pushing the boundaries of electronics, communications, and research.

Responsibilities

• Own meaningful pieces of the software stack, from low‑level algorithm development to customer‑facing features. Write and ship application software on Windows, develop signal‑processing and analysis algorithms, and build self‑tests that keep code quality high.
• Research what users need, translate those needs into well‑scoped work, and collaborate closely with product planners, marketing, and QA to bring it all together. Work in standard agile cycles, with a consistent rhythm of planning, shipping, and iterating.
• Apply AI tools to accelerate development and as a feature set implemented directly for customers.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of professional software development experience
• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Hands‑on experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and hardware interfaces
• Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, digital design, and electronic components
• Proven ability to build, test, and debug software across the full development lifecycle
• Strong proficiency in object‑oriented programming and software design principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of analog circuit design and mixed‑signal systems
• Experience using digital oscilloscopes or other bench test and measurement equipment
• GUI development using Windows WPF
• Proficiency in C++ or C# using Microsoft Visual Studio
• Experience with Git‑based source control workflows
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket) in an agile development environment

Colorado Pay Range: MIN $110,740 - MAX $184,570.
