RTX in North Berwick, ME is seeking a software engineer to design HMI/SCADA interfaces for shop floor tools and build custom applications that collect, analyze and report data essential to plant operations. Onsite role requires a STEM degree and hands-on coding in .NET, Java or Python.

You will analyze performance, modify applications for compliance, create reporting mockups, and migrate legacy software to current technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field with 5+ years in software engineering in manufacturing or similar env.
• Master's degree with 3+ years in software engineering in manufacturing or similar env is acceptable.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with .NET, Java, or Python.
• Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server or other relational databases.
• Experience with Git and self-motivated work style.

What You Will Do:

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 5 or more years of experience in software engineering, in manufacturing operations or similar environment OR a Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience in software engineering, in manufacturing operations or similar environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with a programming language such as .Net, Java, or Python.
• Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server or other relational databases
• Experience with source control tools such as Git
• Self-Starter, works well with minimal supervision

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience in automation or robotic applications
• PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting experience (Allen Bradley Studio 5000, Factory Talk)
• Experience with the Ignition by Inductive Automation software platform
• Computer Science or Engineering degree (computer, software, or electrical)
• Experience creating reports and data analysis

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
