The Opportunity
I am working with a company seeking a Software Engineer - Observability to join their team on a contract basis. This role is crucial to maintaining system health, reliability, and performance. You'll work hands-on with observability infrastructure, monitoring tools, and automation, enabling teams across the organization to ship faster and more confidently.

What You'll Do

  1. Design, build, and maintain observability and monitoring infrastructure
  2. Develop and enhance tools that support performance tracking, alerting, and system visibility
  3. Collaborate with engineering teams to introduce new observability features
  4. Write and execute both manual and automated test scripts to ensure system reliability
  5. Drive improvements in system performance and incident response

  1. Scripting experience for automation and operational efficiency
  2. Solid understanding of testing methodologies, including test automation and TDD
  3. Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, etc.
