Software Engineer - Novi, MI

Leading supplier of autonomous driving (AD) and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) technologies and products in China. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in Shanghai and has R&D centers in Shanghai, Beijing, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Detroit (USA) and Stuttgart (Germany), as well as manufacturing centers in Xiamen, Huzhou and Dongyang, uniquely forming a complete industrial chain from basic R&D to product engineering and mass production of ADAS/AD systems.

As an important step in our globalization strategy, the US R&D Center was established in Novi, Michigan. We are looking for strong candidates to support North American business pursuits, ADAS/AD R&D, and engineering program execution.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, test, debug, and deploy software modules in AD/ADAS systems, and/or in related platform and tools software.
2. Collaborate with the China engineering team to conduct AD/ADAS system testing and data collection. Provide feedback for the testing results.
3. Collaborate with the China engineering team to localize parking and AD/ADAS technology and products for the North American market by:
1. Algorithm modification
2. Infrastructure support
4. Develop and maintain key integrating tools and monitor performance.

Qualifications:

1. BS or above; Master’s degree preferred; major in computer science or related engineering fields; 3 years or above with relevant work experience.
2. Experience in developing production-quality software in C++/C in Autonomous Driving, Robotics, Internet, Telecommunication, and other technology industries.
3. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
4. Solid understanding of data structures and basic algorithms.
5. Solid understanding of performance profiling, analysis, and optimization.
6. Solid understanding of how an operating system works.
7. Good debugging and root cause analysis skills.
8. Good communication skills and team collaboration.
9. Ability to work under pressure.
10. Quick learning ability, agile thinking ability, and structured and logical thinking abilities.

Bonus Points:

1. Good understanding and experience in Computer Vision, Image Processing, Deep Learning, or other Algorithms.
2. Development experience in RTOS and Linux kernel.
3. Development experience in ROS.
4. Development experience on ARM platforms.
5. Good understanding and use of Docker.

Language:

English; fluency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
