We are now growing our team to solve some of the hardest automated driving problems, and are looking for experts for product engineering of AI-based Autonomous Driving systems.

Job Description

This includes driving innovation, overseeing a high-performing engineering team, and collaborating closely with global counterparts to deliver cutting‑edge L2+ and L3 ADAS solutions. While your primary focus is on the overall functional ADAS technology roadmap, you will also play a crucial role in defining the ADAS development and delivery ecosystem that enables our success. This involves defining, delivering and managing a global, multi‑project capable data‑driven platform for training, testing, and deploying AI models‑focused ADAS systems to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead ADAS Technology Strategy: Define and execute the North American ADAS technology roadmap, aligned with global Bosch strategy and customer needs. This includes ownership of the architectural vision, technology selection, and development processes.
  • Drive Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation and explore emerging technologies to maintain Bosch's leadership in the ADAS space. Identify and evaluate new concepts, algorithms, and hardware to enhance our ADAS offerings.
  • Build and Manage High‑Performing Teams: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of highly skilled engineers, fostering collaboration and individual growth. This includes resource allocation, performance management, and talent acquisition.
  • Global Collaboration: Work closely with global ADAS teams, including engineering, product management, and research, to ensure alignment and leverage synergies across regions.
  • AI Development Ecosystem Ownership:
    • Build and lead a global team of key stakeholders & contributors to define the data lifecycle and business processes for continuously developing and deploying ML-based ADAS systems globally
    • Oversee the design and evolution of the ADAS system delivery ecosystem, encompassing data acquisition, processing, model training, testing, validation, and deployment.
    • Ensure seamless integration of AI models into the broader ADAS software architecture and contribute to the overall platform strategy.
    • Champion and implement modern software development and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Agile, Domain and Data Driven Design) within the continuous multi‑customer development lifecycle.
    • Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI/ML and adapt the ecosystem accordingly.
  • Customer Engagement & Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners in the automotive industry to understand their needs and shape future product development.
Basic Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Last 5 years of proven track record leading complex software projects from concept to production in the ADAS domain.
  • Deep understanding of cloud‑based infrastructure and platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with data lifecycle management, including data acquisition, processing, and storage.
  • Proficient in C++, Python, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Experience with ADAS system architecture and development, specifically for L2+ and L3 autonomy.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing large, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on embedded systems, automotive, or robotics. Significant experience in data‑driven software development, including ML/AI.
  • Proven leadership skills of large heterogeneous and global project teams including engineers, product and project managers as well as financial staff, e.g. controlling.
  • Comfortable in interacting with C‑Suite management to develop overall vision and its implementation.
  • Knowledge regarding the technology enabling automated driving and the automotive industry in general.
  • Able to quickly adapt to new business challenges and translate them into new cloud based architecture solutions catering to a global multi‑customer landscape.
