Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Software Engineer for our Financial Platform. This full‑time, remote role partners with product and design to deliver scalable features on AWS and PostgreSQL, with a strong emphasis on reliability and security.

You will contribute across the stack: writing robust Node.js backends, creating responsive React/Next.js frontends, and optimizing queries. Expect fast iteration, code review, CI/CD participation, and shipping visible improvements monthly.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional coding with hands-on work in the last 12 months.
• Strong backend experience with Node.js and demonstrable shipping in the last year.
• Recent frontend experience with React.js and Next.js, including hooks and state management.
• Solid PostgreSQL knowledge: schema design, query optimization, indexing, and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudWatch.
