As a Software Engineer you will work within a delivery team to ensure Product Stories acceptance criteria is met by writing automated tests with Groovy/Geb/Spock. You will develop test scenarios to that verify functionality and test contracts to ensure a solid product is correct.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the platform is secure, performant, and working as expected
  • Work with QE team to enhance and streamline code. Share knowledge and experience with other QE members
  • Continually strive to improve SDLC, code, CI/CD, and engineering best practices

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of agile development framework experience
  • 2+ years of SQL skills experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in engineering, mathematics, computer science, software development or other technical field, or relevant experience
  • Experience with API, Unit, Database and UI testing
  • Experience with PostgreSQL
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Ability to work with members of a team in different disciplines.
  • Ability to proactively ask questions, and seek answers
  • Ability to work with remote staff
  • Willingness to be flexible in technologies and flexible in team assignments
  • Excellent coding skills, preferably in Groovy/Java.
  • Experience working in the Agile Development Framework

The salary range for this role is $71,600to $140,600annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
