Legato, LLC recruiters ([e-mail]) would love to speak with you regarding the following position: Multiple Levels-Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD. Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph. Salary Range: $170,000-$230,000, depending on experience.

What You Will Do:

We are looking for Software Engineers at Multiple Labor Category Levels. A Software Engineer will analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements, debug existing software and correct defects, provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards, design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features, integrate existing software into new or modified system or operating environment, develop simple data queries, write or review software and system documentation, serve as team lead at the appropriate level, design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries, develop or implement algorithms, assist with developing and executing test procedures, develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers, investigate problem areas, modify existing software, design, develop and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models, perform quality control on team products, implement recommendations for improving documentation, oversee one or more software development teams, coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning, recommend new technologies and processes, serve as the technical lead of multiple teams, select software development process in coordination with the customer, ensure quality control of all developed and modified software, and delegate programming and testing responsibilities to one or more team members and monitor their performance.

Our minimum requirements for this role:

• Experience with C++, Java and Linux
• Proficiencyworking in Linux development environments
• Proficiencycoding in Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript
• Experience with the following: Git, GitLab, IDEs (e.g., VSCode, Eclipse, etc…)
• Agile framework experience (Scrum, etc.)
• Desired experience with Software-Defined Radio (SDR) programming, geospatial processing, coding 2D and 3D image displays, GitLab, GitHub, or similar version control tools, Jira/Confluence or similar project management tools
• At least seven (7) years’ experience as a software engineer
• A bachelor's degree in a related field. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, four (4) additional years of experience may be substituted for a total of eleven (11) years of experience
