Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the AWS Quick RAG team to build scalable ingestion pipelines that handle multi‑modal content (PDF, audio, video, tables) and power Quick Suite's document processing and search capabilities.

You will optimize performance for millions of documents, collaborate with applied scientists, participate in design reviews, and mentor junior engineers while balancing hands‑on development with operational

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of design or architecture experience for large systems.
1+ years of software development engineer experience.
1+ years of designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications.
1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Mathematics or related field.
Experience programming with at least one language.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ingestion pipelines for multi-modal content.
Optimize system performance and reliability; implement CV/ML solutions for content extraction.
Collaborate with applied scientists to integrate retrieval models.
Participate in on-call rotations and conduct code reviews.
