Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Software Engineer (Level 1 or 2) to join our team in Manhattan Beach, CA, supporting the Resource Control (RC) team for a MILSATCOM payload system. The role involves maintaining and enhancing embedded flight software and developing ground tools.

The position is full-time onsite; candidates may be considered for a higher grade based on qualifications, with opportunities for growth and working on mission-critical software used in space systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.
• Proficiency in C++ and OO programming.
• Experience developing software on Unix/Linux.
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance required at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance embedded flight software and ground tools.
• Contribute across the full software lifecycle—design, implementation, test, integration, and support.
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
