Job summary

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), a subsidiary of The Boeing Company, seeks a Software Engineer Mid-level to design, develop, test, and maintain software across diverse projects within national security programs. You will provide technical leadership, collaborate with the Chief Engineer on feature specs, and review designs and code.

The role supports hybrid work up to 16 hours per week, located in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Experience developing and executing test procedures for software components.
• Experience generating and reviewing software/technical documentation.
• Experience in an Agile software development environment.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence.
• Proficiency with Git, Java, C++, or Python; PostgreSQL as the relational DB.

Why This is an Exciting Role:

As a Software Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics you will be responsible to:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software solutions
• Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects
• Facilitate alignment and clarity on goals, outcomes, and timelines
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Work closely with the Chief Engineer to define feature specifications and build products
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Work on problems of diverse scopes where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Complete medium to large features (each with many tasks) independently without guidance.
• Identify and drive changes as needed for assigned codebase, product area, or systems.

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Years of Experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplinewith 14+ years of experience
• Four years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree

Required Qualifications:

• An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Experience assisting with development & execution of test procedures for software components
• Experience with generating & reviewing software/technical documentation
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment
• Experience using Jira and Confluence
• Experience with the following software development skills:
  • Git
  • Java, C++,and/orPython
  • Relational database, such as Postgres

Desired Qualifications:

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$192,000- $240,000

Sign-on Bonus up to $25,000 for eligible/qualified candidates
