Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer with web development experience spanning frontend and backend, API work, and scalable software delivery. The role involves designing, building, testing, and maintaining web applications and cloud-native services across the full stack.

The ideal candidate will have experience with modern CI/CD practices, testing, and a collaborative approach to delivering high-performance software products, while supporting release lifecycle tasks and architecture

Qualifications

• Typically requires BS degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Must hold an active Secret security clearance.
• Expertise in front end web application development in one or more programming languages is required.
• Knowledge of working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Agile project management software such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and system scalability.

We are seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer with a web application development with exposure to full-stack capabilities (front-end, back-end, full-stack) to design, build, test and maintain scalable software systems. This role will play a part in creating front-end and backend services, developing APIs, and collaborating with development team to deliver reliable, high-performance applications.

The ideal candidate has experience in web applications, cloud-native architectures, testing, and modern CI/CD practices and tools, while also being comfortable contributing across the full stack when needed. • A working knowledge and experience with the following are preferred as they will be used to complete Software Engineering tasks: SAFe 6, EDB Postgres, an IDE such as Eclipse or IntelliJ, Git, Python, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Argo, Docker, Red Hat Linux, SQL Developer, Jira, Bitbucket, OpenShift, SmartBear ReadyAPI, SoapUI, LoadUi, Java, Spring, Maven/Gradle, ActiveVOS, Camel, NEIM XML, EBTS, SecDevOps.
