Job summary

Description

We are seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer with experience in web application development across the full stack to design, build, test, and maintain scalable software systems. This role will contribute to front‑end and back‑end services, develop APIs, and collaborate with the development team to deliver reliable, high‑performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and maintain source code, create and maintain software applications, and apply frameworks involved in a software release.
• Duties include computer programming, documentation, configuration management, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining applications and frameworks throughout the software release life cycle.
• Demonstrate expertise in one or more programming languages.
• Achieve day‑to‑day objectives with moderate impact on the team or project, work independently on larger, moderately complex assignments, and assist other technical staff as needed.
• Communicate with colleagues across multiple areas (project managers, other technical resources, etc.) and explain technical solutions, practices, and procedures to others within the organization.

Required Qualifications

• BS degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience or a Masters with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Expertise in front‑end web application development in one or more programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot).
• Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and system scalability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices interfaces.
• Experience with automated testing (end‑to‑end, regression, integration) and technologies such as Spring Boot, Hibernate (including native queries).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab.
• Knowledge of infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Hashicorp Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Elastic Search).
• Knowledge of additional technologies: SAFe 6, EDB Postgres, IDEs such as Eclipse or IntelliJ, Git, Python, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Argo, Docker, Red Hat Linux, SQL Developer, Jira, Bitbucket, OpenShift, SmartBear ReadyAPI, SoapUI, LoadUi, Maven/Gradle, ActiveVOS, Camel, NEIM XML, EBTS, SecDevOps.
