Amazon MSK team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to help build and run the managed streaming for Kafka service. You will design and implement features for the core data plane, improve performance, and collaborate with other engineers to scale the service for millions of transactions per second.

The role emphasizes contributing to open source while delivering high‑quality software for AWS scale and customer needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new features, improve performance, and review changes.
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver a large-scale AWS service and define roadmap.
