Job Summary

Perform design, coding, testing, review, maintenance, and development for Medline’s STARLIMS LIMS application. This includes implementing new features, change controls, and fixing bugs or errors within the STARLIMS Application. Assist in evaluating how LIMS can be improved, streamlined, and integrated with other software, services, and solutions. Must communicate and collaborate effectively with LIMS stakeholders, IT reps, and lab cross-functional teams in both layman and technical language.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable lab software solutions for LIMS.
2. Evaluate ways to streamline and improve efficiencies in LIMS and related software/services.
3. Assess systems, servers, networking, and applications associated with LIMS for proper design, organization, and efficiency.
4. Perform coding for STARLIMS to maintain existing environments (DEV, TEST, PROD) by adding features, implementing change controls, and fixing bugs.
5. Lead in LIMS code development and problem solving, expanding access to resources for issue resolution.
6. Understand, execute, and document various testing types: scripted, unscripted, integration, and verification.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree

Work Experience:

• At least 4 years as a LIMS developer

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Effective communication with LIMS stakeholders
• Experience with complex SQL queries

Preferred Experience:

• STARLIMS ELN (experience with STARLIMS ELN 12.3 is a bonus)
• Operating STARLIMS with Azure
• STARLIMS coding experience
• Knowledge of laboratory environment
• Building, configuring, and maintaining LIMS Servers and related services throughout the product lifecycle
