Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Huntsville, AL seeks a Sr. Software Engineer to join our team and work on missile defense systems. You will contribute to embedded C++ implementations, modeling and data analysis, and missile dynamics simulations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance to start, a STEM degree, and hands-on experience with MATLAB and missile flight algorithms. Relocation assistance may be available and a competitive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s STEM Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 1 year with a PhD.
• Experience with Modeling and Data analysis
• Experience with tactical implementation of Missile Flight Algorithms using embedded C++
• Experience using MATLAB
• Experience with 3-DOF and 6-DOF Missile Dynamics
• Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.

Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, Missile Defense Integration Business Unit (BU), has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr. Software Engineer to join our team located in Huntsville, AL.

Basic Qualifications

Primary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
