Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.

Job Description:

The Software Engineer I I is responsible for coding, testing, debugging, maintaining, and enhancing software applications. This position participates in multiple phases of the software development lifecycle and works on major application initiatives while receiving high-level guidance and support. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver with experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of significant software components and features, breaking complex initiatives into manageable tasks and establishing measurable goals.
• Develop software solutions using applicable programming languages and technologies to meet business requirements. [
• Write, test, debug, maintain, and document software applications and enhancements.
• Develop reusable code and implement automation for application deployment processes.
• Create and execute functional testing scenarios and scripts to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Work independently on assigned project components while providing regular progress updates.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to coding standards and best practices.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Software Engineers.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of production incidents and application issues.
• Communicate technical challenges, project risks, and roadblocks to stakeholders, management, Scrum Masters, and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of software development experience.
• Experience with .NET development using C# and/or VB.NET.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL and relational database applications.
• Familiarity with web service development.
• Experience with application design, development, deployment, and production support.
• Understanding of object-oriented software design principles.
• Understanding of microservice-based architectures and containerization technologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn new technologies and industry trends.
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within the financial technology (FinTech), banking, credit union, payments, or financial services industry.
• Familiarity with front-end development using Angular .
• Familiarity with desktop application development using Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) .
