This remote, contract position offers an exciting opportunity to join our client's AI platform team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining AI-powered applications, including generative AI solutions, to support innovative learning technologies. The position requires collaborating with data scientists and engineers to deliver scalable, reliable, and accessible AI tools that enhance educational experiences.

Software Engineer Level 3 Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain AI platform and AI-powered applications, including generative AI solutions.
• Develop software solutions that meet accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.2 AA, integrating best practices into code, testing, and design.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, product managers, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Stay current with AI technology advancements and explore integrating new AI capabilities into applications.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes, optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security, and promote engineering best practices.

Software Engineer Level 3 Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in product or enterprise software development.
• Hands-on experience with full software stack including frontend (Angular/React), backend (Python/Node.js), databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure, Terraform).
• Practical knowledge of implementing accessible features in web applications.
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques and optimizing RAG models.
• Strong skills in software development, testing, monitoring, performance tuning, and deployment pipelines.
