Job summary

Onyx Point, Inc. is seeking a senior SWE with an active TS/SCI clearance to lead software development across complex programs. You will analyze requirements, design and code, debug, and integrate software within multi-team environments, while ensuring performance and quality standards are met.

A strong background in Java or AWS combined with data-store and big data technologies is highly valued. The role requires 14 years of SWE experience and a BS in CS or related discipline, with possible

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Strong Java or strong AWS experience is required; both are a plus.
• Experience with Confluence, JIRA and GitLab is required.
• NIFI experience is a plus.
• Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

-Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries
-Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure the work is completed in accordance with the constraints of the software development process being used on any particular project
-Design or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints; Perform quality control on team products
-Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
-Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met
-Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards

Compensation: We are committed to providing fair and competitive compensation. The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation offered across the locations where we hire. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate’s work location, specific role, skill set, and level of expertise.
